Fernando syntyi Buenos Airesissa, jossa hän aluksi harrasti tangoa. Hän opiskeli liikunnan opettajaksi ja alkoi opettaa ammatikseen eri ikäryhmiä. Näin hän yhdisti kaksi intohimoaan – opettamisen ja tangon. Viimeiset 12 vuotta Fernando on asunut ulkomailla, ensin Suomessa ja sittemmin eri euroopan maissa, Venäjällä ja aasiassa tangoa opettaen ja esiintymällä. Suomessa Fernando on ollut edelläkävijä tangoterapiaryhmien ohjaajana (Parkinson ja aivohalvaus). Lisäksi hän on Suomen tanssillisen kuntoutusyhdistyksen perustajajäsen
