10€ – 80€We are excited to announce the return of our tango weekend at Lake Saimaa in Lappeenranta!
The upcoming Tango Weekend «Le Notti Bianche Finlandia» will take place from June 26 to 29, 2025.
For friends from Italy: Bergamo-Lappeenranta is flown by Ryanair and it is only three hours.
Please remember that this weekend is not only about tango. We invite you to enjoy the beautiful shores of pristine Lake Saimaa in the company of friends, relax in the sauna, take a boat ride, attend tango lessons with a teacher from Italy Giancarlo Pastonchi , and of course, dance tango in the evenings in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We will do our best to make your weekend relaxing, comfortable, and memorable.

Classes are open to couples only. If you don’t have a partner, please contact the event organizer—your future dance partner may already be waiting! Registration is confirmed only if both partners have paid the participation.

The World of the Cortado – in Parallel and Crossed System
A workshop dedicated to one of tango’s most iconic elements: the cortado. We’ll explore how to dance it in both parallel and crossed systems, adapting its rhythm and dynamics to different orchestras. Focus will be on musical awareness, connection, and creative variations.

Discovering Improvisation in Milonga Lisa and Traspié
An introductory class into the joyful and rhythmic world of milonga. We’ll explore the two primary rhythmic approaches—lisa and traspié—learning how to improvise with clarity, playfulness, and a strong sense of connection.

13:30 – 15:00 / VALS Intermediate–Advanced
Giro and Contragiro – Dynamic Variations in Vals
We’ll transfer the same structural tools into the flowing rhythm of tango vals, working on lightness, continuity, and musical drive. Expect circular movements, suspended moments, and lively accelerations—all while maintaining a strong connection and refined embrace.
